STEM NIGHTS

METS partners with elementary schools across the Tampa Bay area to give students the opportunity to dive deeper into science and technology through STEM Nights. These events are designed to wow students, families, and community members with STEM-focused experiments, live demonstrations, and interactive activities. STEM Nights provide a space where students can ask bold questions, form new ideas, and explore the possibilities that lie beyond the classroom’s textbooks.

During STEM Nights, we focus on creating real-world applications of the material learned in the classroom as well as introducing new information to build connections and spark student interest. Each activity aligns with a STEM career and corresponds with one or more Next Generation Sunshine State Standards (NGSSS), the core curriculum set for Florida public schools by the Florida Department of Education. These events are made possible by our passionate and knowledgeable student and community volunteers who work with us in various ways to create an unforgettable experience for all in attendance.

METS holds several STEM Nights each school year. If your school or organization is interested in working with METS to host a STEM Night, please fill out the School Interest Form below!
